Why Adelle Gives Me Hope [Link]
"Adele is an incredible, incredible artist. I LOVE her music, and I can't even remember the last time I listened to the radio and she wasn't on the top 10. Her album 21 has been the top seller week after week after week. I don't normally look up what artists look like, because I just...don't care. If I know it's because I read an article and their picture was on it. I naturally assumed she looked something like this:
Pretty, young, and most importantly, thin. I expected her to be the the "perfect" image that is constantly shoved down our throats. I mean, how could she NOT fit that mold? I have come to believe that people who don't fit into that mold (including, and especially me) were outcasts. I believed it was hopeless. So, imagine my surprise, and great joy, when I found out she looked like this..."
